Types of Massage
Deep Tissue
This focuses on reaching the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues (fascia) to release chronic tension and knots. It uses slow, firm pressure and deep finger, thumb, or elbow strokes, targeting specific areas of tightness or pain.
Swedish/Relaxation
A classic, full-body massage technique designed to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and ease muscle tension through gentle, flowing movements. It uses lighter to moderate pressure and focuses more on overall relaxation and wellness rather than treating chronic pain or muscle dysfunction.
Trigger Point Release
This technique that applies sustained, direct pressure to tight, tender spots in muscles to relieve tension and reduce referred pain. It helps restore normal muscle function and improve range of motion.
Myofascial Release
A gentle, hands-on technique that applies sustained pressure to the body’s connective tissue (fascia) to relieve tension, improve mobility, and reduce pain. It helps restore flexibility and alignment by releasing restrictions in the fascia surrounding muscles and joints.
